QuaDigi is a partner-owned Lithuanian company that provides essential software engineering solutions in the medical and safety domains. The team’s goal is to act on new initiatives and ultimately become a leading software development and testing hub.

A go-to service provider for medical product development, QuaDigi travels within Europe and the US to meet with its partners and share knowledge on product development.

The company is only two years old, but it’s growing quickly. Quality is paramount.

This is where Indra Raudonė comes in. As Quality Manager, Indra oversees QuaDigi’s Quality Management System. And to successfully develop and maintain it, she turned to Scilife.

Recently, Indra spoke with Scilife Customer Success Representative Fabiola Samueli about her team’s experience with our electronic QMS. After 15 months, we’re pleased to learn the response has been overwhelmingly positive.  

 


 

The Search


QuaDigi set out to find an eQMS that could grow with them. While Document Control was the company’s top priority, Indra and her colleagues wanted a solution that could help them achieve ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certification by 2025.

So in January 2023, QuaDigi officially became one of our customers.

“I chose Scilife because everything looked good and easy to use. I liked the modules and the structure of it, along with the main logic and ideas.”


Indra states that the level of support and training—both during implementation and while getting to know our eQMS—exceeded expectations.

 


 

The Set Up


The first module QuaDigi implemented was Document Control. Change Control Management soon followed. Early in our partnership, Indra and her team enjoyed Scilife’s streamlined setup process.

“The onboarding process was smooth. And now, if I need something, I just use the ticket system and get a response quickly.”

 

Currently, Scilife helps QuaDigi make sure the right people can access the relevant documents. Indra and her colleagues spend quite a bit of time dividing electronic documents into separate groups—for example, into documents meant for management, into those reserved for the finance team, and into others created for all employees. This prevents specific documents from getting lost (or into the wrong hands).

In terms of Change Control Management, Indra notes that Scilife has helped QuaDigi gather signatures and ensure document approval.

“We now know who needs to do what, and when. This saves time without needing to go around and ask others to sign the documents. Everything is there, so you don't have to go crazy searching for things.”

 

Indra highlights that Scilife is thorough yet efficient, and comprehensive yet simple to use. It’s no wonder that she has already begun to explore additional modules. QuaDigi is also making good use of Scilife’s Trainings and Supplier Management solutions.

Additionally, Indra believes team members will eventually use Scilife to manage complaints, deviations, and CAPAs. Risk Management is another area the company hopes to explore.

 


 

Favorite Features


QuaDigi immediately embraced our Document Control tool. We asked Indra whether she had a favorite feature, and she mentioned the Folders functionality.

She believes that some team members prefer to organize documents in specific folders and subfolders. This functionality appeals directly to these colleagues.

“Not everyone likes seeing a list of documents. Some people prefer more computer visualization. And just like in a regular office, with Scilife, people can start digitally storing things in folders.”


For example, QuaDigi has created a specific folder for Work and Safety documents. This folder includes different subfolders that allow people to easily find the documents they need and even locate specific excerpts of information.

Indra also enjoys the ability to add a file directly to a document—not just to a comment, but to the document itself. Some QuaDigi customers and team members, for instance, request that a document written in English be accompanied by a Lithuanian translation. (The company, after all, is based in Vilnius, the Lithuanian capital.)

With this new feature, the translation can be included as an attachment to the original document. (Scilife launched this functionality with our latest Document Control release, and we’re pleased with the feedback we’ve received from companies like QuaDigi.)

 


 

Expert Advice


Ask Indra for advice about implementing an eQMS, and she won’t hesitate to offer a response.

“Have a plan, agree on it, and stick to it. That's the biggest challenge when you are starting to implement an electronic QMS.”


QuaDigi knows firsthand that having a clear structure is critical. It can be difficult to manage ever-changing priorities, but Scilife makes the process simple.

For this reason, Indra has already recommended our eQMS to another Lithuanian company. We couldn’t be more grateful for her team’s support.

 


 

The Results

Indra notes that the biggest outcome QuaDigi will experience is certification. They don’t yet have that measurable result, but the company is on the path to gaining it soon.

For the time being, there are many benefits to share. Scilife’s eQMS is already helping the QuaDigi team effortlessly manage their documents. Indra adds:

 

“For me, it would be difficult running around with paper documents, asking for signatures. I just love that I do not have this hassle. Why deal with that when you can sit comfortably with a beautiful view from your home office and read your documents digitally?”
